Black Adam Arrives On HBO Max following box office
The critically acclaimed original series, from executive producer Greg Berlanti (Riverdale), premieres April 15 on HBO Max.
It’s been a long time since the last Adam came to Earth.
The world is under attack by an evil entity who calls himself the Black Adam. He’s taken over cities across the globe, and he needs to be stopped.
Only one man stands in his way: a police detective named Jim Kent, whose life is forever changed after being accidentally shot in the line of duty. Now, he must train to become the superhero known as “Black Adam.”
After years of training, Adam will return to Earth to combat the forces of evil.

In a world where a mysterious entity known as the Black Adam has arisen, it’s up to Jim Kent (Luke Cage) to battle this foe who has come from another dimension.
Kent’s life changes drastically after being accidentally shot during a drug raid. He loses the ability to feel emotion, forcing him to grapple with his feelings and his past. In order to save humanity, he will have to fight his way through his personal demons.
With the help of a team of superheroes, Kent trains to become “Black Adam” and battles his inner demons to become a hero.
The series will star Mike Colter, as the titular character.
The first trailer for the new series has debuted.
Starring as the Black Adam is Luke Cage. He’s best known as Iron Fist in Marvel’s hit series, as well as a member of the Avengers.
Rounding out the cast are Rosemary DeWitt, Alfre Woodard, Eka Darville, Benjamin Buress, and Mahershala Ali.
The series is executive produced by Berlanti, Joe Robert Cole, and Sanaa Hamri, along with Stephen J. Smith.
The series will be available to HBO Max subscribers beginning April 15.
The series is the first of a slate of superhero programming coming to the streaming service.
HBO Max also recently announced a number of original movies, as well as new shows from the likes of Stephen King, John Carpenter, and Stephen Spielberg.
