The critically acclaimed original series, from executive producer Greg Berlanti (Riverdale), premieres April 15 on HBO Max.

It’s been a long time since the last Adam came to Earth.

The world is under attack by an evil entity who calls himself the Black Adam. He’s taken over cities across the globe, and he needs to be stopped.

Only one man stands in his way: a police detective named Jim Kent, whose life is forever changed after being accidentally shot in the line of duty. Now, he must train to become the superhero known as “Black Adam.”

After years of training, Adam will return to Earth to combat the forces of evil.

In a world where a mysterious entity known as the Black Adam has arisen, it’s up to Jim Kent (Luke Cage) to battle this foe who has come from another dimension.

Kent’s life changes drastically after being accidentally shot during a drug raid. He loses the ability to feel emotion, forcing him to grapple with his feelings and his past. In order to save humanity, he will have to fight his way through his personal demons.

With the help of a team of superheroes, Kent trains to become “Black Adam” and battles his inner demons to become a hero.

The series will star Mike Colter, as the titular character.
