Is Google Down Right Now? Check The Search Status Dashboard

Introduction:

It’s a regular thing in this modern era. You’ve been using Google since the day you were born, and it’s probably safe to say you’ve relied on it for pretty much everything. But you may not be aware that there is an entire team of people working to keep Google up and running. And right now, they might be having issues keeping it up.

As with any online service, there will be times when there are problems. Whether it’s Gmail freezing, YouTube failing, or Google Drive down, this can be quite frustrating. However, knowing when something has gone wrong can help you prevent problems from occurring, so let’s dive into how Google has managed to keep things running smoothly for the past few years.

What Is Google Search Dashboard?

You may have seen the little “Google is down” icon in the search bar at the top of your screen. This is Search Status Dashboard, and it’s a simple way to find out whether or not Google is working. If it’s red, that means there is an issue with the search engine.

To access it, simply type “Search Status Dashboard” or “Enter your search query” into the search bar, then look to the right of the bar to find the blue Google logo. Click the button to enter the dashboard.

The first thing you’ll notice is the status. If it’s red, it means there is a problem with the search engine. For example, you can see the following message right now:

Red indicates the Search Status Dashboard isn’t available.

Green indicates the search engine is fully functional.

The rest of the status is filled in by Google to give you an idea of what’s going on. If the dashboard is green, there are still plenty of things going on behind the scenes. However, if the dashboard is red, it means the entire Search Status Dashboard is broken or is not functioning correctly.

That’s exactly what you would expect for a major online service like Google. But even if it looks red, it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong with the whole system. In fact, you’ll learn a bit more about that later. Let’s take a look at the different sections of the dashboard and what you can do about each one.

Searches – What are people searching for?

As you can see, Google currently reports there are over 1 billion people searching on a daily basis. The most popular searches are shown along the left, while the most popular searches for the US and worldwide are at the top.

Each area is color coded to show you the current status of the search. For example, the “New York” section of the dashboard is green because the New York area seems to be the most stable right now.

While this isn’t a very in-depth look, it’s still interesting to see what people are searching for. It also gives you a better feel of the current status of the country.

Search Trends – What’s Trending?

This section of the dashboard shows what people are searching for the most right now. You can use this information to help you decide which content is most relevant to your niche.

Search Status Dashboard Status – Are They Down, Or Just Not Showing Up?

Let’s say you had a page with a ton of high-quality content on it, and you wanted Google to find it. If the dashboard says there’s a problem with the Search Status Dashboard, you wouldn’t want that page to show up when someone searches for your keywords. That could mean that someone who is looking for your content is actually facing issues trying to find it. So, that might be the case with your brand. If the dashboard says the search engine is down, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s down for everyone.

On the other hand, if you have a page with lots of links and backlinks pointing to it, the problem could be that the Search Status Dashboard is not able to show those pages to users. If that’s the case, your page will show up on the SERP.

Google Webmaster Tools – How Do I Fix Problems With My Site?

There are times when you’ll notice there’s an error with the Search Status Dashboard that doesn’t affect the entire site. In such a case, Google might let you know about the problem through the Webmaster tools section of the dashboard. If you go into the dashboard, you’ll be able to see a list of any errors on the site.
